Your first 7 days with Priceguide
A day at a time, none of it longer than twenty minutes. By Friday you will have an estimator that works, priced properly, in front of real people.
Build it on day one, price it on day two, check it works on day three, then spend the rest of the week getting it in front of people. The single biggest mistake new accounts make is building an estimator and then waiting for a website change before showing it to anybody. Do not wait.
The one thing that predicts whether this works for you. Not how good your estimator is. Whether anyone was ever sent to it. Accounts that go quiet almost always built something perfectly good and then never distributed it.
Day 1: build it
Paste your website address into the builder and let it generate your estimator. Read the services it detected and correct anything wrong before it builds.

Done when: you have an estimator with your services in it.
Day 2: make the prices yours
The generated prices are a starting point based on your location and industry, not on what you charge. Open the Pricing Lab and read the budget column. Ask of each row: would I do that job for that price?

Check your prices → · Or have us do it for you, free →
Done when: every budget figure is a number you would genuinely honour.
Day 3: set up your account and test it end to end
Set your notification email to something you read on your phone. Then complete your own estimator as a customer would, on a phone, using your real details.

Account setup → · Lead form and notifications →
Done when: the estimate arrives on your phone within a couple of minutes and the price looks right.
Day 4: start sending people to it
You do not need your website changed for this, and this is the day that decides whether the other six were worth it.
Put the link on your Google Business Profile, in your email signature, and in your reply to the next person who asks what something costs.
Nine places to put your link today →
Done when: the link is live in at least three places.
Day 5: email your past enquiries
The fastest leads you will get this month. Everyone who ever asked what something costs and never booked is a warm contact who never got an answer.
Send it to people who already asked →
Done when: fifty emails are out.
Day 6: sort out your website
Now do the website properly. Decide where it goes and what to call the menu item, then either embed it yourself or hand the job over.
Where to put it → · How to embed it →
If somebody else looks after your site, request a free Agency Pack and forward it to them. Do not let this block you, because by now you already have leads coming in.
Done when: it is on your site, or the instructions are with whoever will do it.
Day 7: connect it to where you work
Get leads into your CRM automatically, so nothing depends on you spotting an email.
Connect to Zapier → · Get the full estimate detail, not just a link →
Done when: a test estimate appears in your CRM by itself.
Where you should be after a week
| Check | Yes / no |
|---|---|
| Every budget price is one you would honour | |
| Notifications reach your phone | |
| The link is on your Google Business Profile | |
| Past enquiries have been emailed | |
| It is on your website, or the instructions are with your web person | |
| You have completed your own estimator on a phone |
If you can tick all six, you have done more than most accounts manage in three months.
What if I only have an hour, total?
Day 1, Day 2 and Day 4. Build it, price it, share it. Everything else is improvement on a thing that is already working.
Should I wait until it is perfect?
No. An imperfect estimator in front of people beats a perfect one nobody has seen. You can edit it any time, and version history means you can undo anything.
How long before I see leads?
From day 5, if you email your past enquiries. From your website, it depends on your traffic.
Can you do this for me?
Yes, there is a done-for-you service.
Stuck on any day? Email [email protected] and say which one.
