Franchise locations

Make your estimator yours

Your estimator is already built and already priced. This is the short list of things that are yours to personalise — about twenty minutes, all of it clicking buttons on your dashboard. Nothing here is technical.

For franchise locations15–20 minutesYou need: your Priceguide login

Your franchisor has already done the hard part — your account, your estimator, the design, and a full set of starting prices based on the franchise average. None of what follows is setup. It is six checks that turn a generic estimator into yours: the services you actually offer, prices that match your market, and a booking link so someone can go from seeing a price to booking you without stopping to think about it.

You do not need to touch anything in the left column. That is all handled. The right column is what the six steps below walk through.

First, create your login

You will get an email with a link to generate your own Priceguide login. Open it, click the account link, and follow the prompts. You will land on your dashboard, which is where everything below happens.

Six checks on your dashboard

Five worth doing today, plus one optional extra if you want to go further. None of them are complicated.

  1. Preview your estimator

Look at it as it stands. Bear in mind this is the pricing tool on its own — once it is live it sits inside a full page on your website, with your menu, logo and branding around it.

The estimator preview screen on your dashboard
Done when: you have clicked through your own estimator once, as a customer would.
  2. Add your booking link

Go to Account and scroll to the booking link field. Add your calendar link, or whatever booking URL you already use.

This is the most under-rated setting in the product. It turns "I'll think about it" into a booked slot at the exact moment someone has just seen a price they are happy with.

The booking link field on the Account page
Done when: your own booking page opens from your estimator's results screen.
  3. Remove the services you do not offer

Go to Account, scroll to your estimator and click Edit. You will see four tabs: Questions, Pricing, Lab, and Content Settings, plus Financing.

On the Questions tab, use hide all questions to see the full preloaded list. Remove anything you do not do — click the X, then Delete. Click Save and Publish when you are finished.

The Questions tab, where you remove services you do not offer

Why this one matters more than it looks. Priceguide preloads as many services as possible so you have a full starting point. It is expected that you will delete some. Leaving one in means quoting work you cannot deliver, and a lead you have to turn down is worse than no lead at all.

Done when: every service left on the list is one you would happily take a call about tomorrow.
  4. Fine-tune your pricing

Your prices are already set from the franchise average, so you are not starting from zero. This is about nudging them to fit your own costs, market and competition. Two ways to do it — use whichever feels easier.

By hand. Open the editing screen and work through each question. The first question in each service usually has the biggest effect on the final price, so that is the one worth your attention. Most of what follows is a percentage adjustment from that first choice.

With the Pricing Lab, which is quicker. Go to the Lab tab and type a plain-English instruction, such as "increase home renovation services 10%". Click Run Analysis, review the suggested changes, then click Apply the Fix.

You are adjusting from the franchise average, not pricing from scratch. Small, sensible tweaks are all this needs.

Done when: you would be comfortable standing behind the numbers your estimator produces.
  5. Turn on financing, if you offer it

Optional, but worth it if it applies to you. Go to the Financing tab. Turning it on shows people roughly what a job costs per month rather than only as a lump sum, which makes a bigger number easier to sit with.

This does not connect to a financing company yet — that is coming — so there is nothing to set up on that side. Enter a simple rate: 0% if you offer your own free financing, or your actual annual rate. Priceguide works out the monthly figure on the results page.

Done when: a monthly figure appears alongside the total on your results page.
  6. Optional: use your own photos

The defaults look good on their own, so treat this as a bonus. If you want your estimator to feel more local, click the settings toggle next to any service and either upload your own photo or click Generate with AI — Priceguide already knows your location, so it will make one to match. That takes about a minute.

Done when: the photos look like jobs you have actually done.

What to expect when you review your pricing

Open the Pricing Lab and you will see the baseline average for each service — the franchise-wide starting point, already set. From there it is a judgement call on whether your prices should sit slightly above or below that, based on what you know about your local market and costs.

Two other places worth a quick look while you are in there:

  • Content Settings — the wording shown on the final results page, if you want to change it.
  • Financing — worth a look if you offer it, since it changes how your prices come across.

Going live

Priceguide works with your franchisor and your agency to get your estimator onto your live website. You will usually have one to two weeks from first getting access before that happens. Use that window to double-check your services, your pricing and your financing settings.

You do not have to wait for your website. Your estimator already has its own link, and it works today. Put it in your Google Business Profile and your email signature now, and it will bring you enquiries before anyone touches your site.

Once you have done these, here is what is next

The rest of the franchise guides pick up where this one stops — getting your estimator in front of people, and turning what it sends you into booked work.
