Setup guide
Add your estimator to your website
Two ways to do it: link to it, or embed it in a page. Linking takes two minutes. Embedding is better. Here is both, and how to decide.
Every estimator has a share link that works immediately with no code. That is the fastest route and it works today. Embedding puts the estimator inside a page on your own site, which keeps visitors on your domain and helps Google associate your pricing with your business. Start with the link, embed when you can.
Both options live behind the same button. In your dashboard, find your estimator and click Share.

Which one should you use?
| Link to it | Embed it | |
|---|---|---|
| Time to set up | Two minutes | Ten minutes, or whenever your web person gets to it |
| Needs code? | No | Yes, one block pasted into a page |
| Visitor stays on your site? | No, opens the estimator on its own page | Yes |
| Good for SEO? | Neutral | Better. Your pricing content sits on your own domain. |
| Use it when | You want leads today, or you are waiting on someone else to edit the site | You have access, or you can get it |
If you are waiting on an agency or a web person, do not wait. Use the link today and embed later. Waiting is the most common reason a new estimator never gets used.
Option 1: link to your estimator
Copy your link
Click Share and copy the estimator link.
One link, works anywhere you can paste a web address. Decide where it goes
Your main navigation first, then your homepage hero, then every service page. Placement and wording matter more than most people expect, so it is worth reading where to put your estimator and what to call the menu link before you brief anyone.
Add it as a button or a text link
Label it Instant Pricing or Get a Price. Avoid "Calculator", and avoid "Quote", which promises a fixed number this tool deliberately does not give.
What good looks like: you can reach the estimator from your homepage in one click, on a phone, without opening a dropdown.
Option 2: embed it in a page
Click Share and you will see two embed codes. Use the first unless your platform is on the short list below.
Standard embed (iframe)
Right for most websites, including WordPress, Webflow and Squarespace.
Copy the Standard Embed code
Open the page where you want it
In your website builder, edit the page and place the cursor where the estimator should appear.
Paste it into an HTML or Code block
Not a text block. It has to be a block that accepts raw HTML, or the code will show as text on your live page.
Copy the whole block, including the opening and closing tags. Save and publish, then check it on a phone
What good looks like: the estimator loads inside your page, fills the width, and needs no sideways scrolling on a phone.
Alternative embed, for HubSpot and Wix
Some builders handle iframes poorly. HubSpot and Wix are the two we see most. If you are on either, use the Alternative Embed instead.
Copy the Alternative Embed code
Paste it into a Rich Text HTML box
Not a standard iframe or code block. This is the difference that makes it work.
If the standard embed renders blank or cropped on your platform, switch to this one. Save, publish and test on a phone
Platform guides
Step by step for the three platforms we get asked about most:
On any other platform, the embed works anywhere you can paste HTML. If you cannot paste HTML at all, use the link instead.
Getting it right on mobile
Most visitors will be on a phone, and mobile is where embeds usually go wrong.
- Set the container to full width. A fixed pixel width is the most common cause of a cropped estimator.
- Give the iframe enough height that the answer options are not cut off.
- Test on a real phone, not by narrowing your browser window.
- Put the estimator near the top of the page. Three paragraphs of preamble above it costs completions.
Want us to do it for you?
Two options, one is free.
- Request an Agency Pack. We write the install instructions for your web person, built around your specific site, and you forward one email. Nothing changes hands but a document.
- Done-for-you setup. If you would rather we did the work than wrote the instructions, start here and we will tell you what we need.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| The embed code shows as text on the live page | It went into a text block rather than an HTML or code block. Move it. |
| Blank space where the estimator should be | Usually your platform stripping the iframe. Try the Alternative Embed. |
| Estimator cut off or scrolls sideways on a phone | The container has a fixed width, or the iframe height is too small. Set the container to 100% width and increase the height. |
| "This calculator is no longer active" | The estimator is unpublished, or the subscription has lapsed. Check both. |
| It works on desktop but not on mobile | Almost always a theme container with a fixed width. Check the row or section settings, not the embed code. |
| Changes to the estimator are not showing on your site | Your site cache. Clear it, then hard refresh. |
Does embedding slow my site down?
The estimator loads in its own frame, so it does not block the rest of your page from rendering. Put it below your hero rather than above it if you want the page to feel instant.
Can I embed the same estimator on several pages?
Yes, as many as you like, with the same code each time. Service pages are the highest value place to repeat it.
Will Google index the estimator content?
Embedding it on your own page gives Google the best chance of associating your pricing with your business, which is the main SEO reason to embed rather than link.
Do I need a plugin?
No. Any block that accepts HTML works.
