Integration guide

Connect Priceguide to JobTread

Completed estimates become JobTread contacts automatically, with the job detail attached.

For business owners20 minutesYou need: Zapier and JobTread accounts

Same shape as any Zapier integration: Priceguide's New Estimate (Instant) trigger, a Formatter step to split the name into first and last, then create the contact in JobTread.

Before you start

  • A Zapier account. The Formatter step needs a paid plan.
  • At least one completed estimate for Zapier to build against.
  • Your JobTread login.
  1. Connect your estimator to Zapier

Trigger set to New Estimate (Instant). Full walkthrough: connect your estimator to Zapier.

    Instant trigger.
  2. Split the name

Add Formatter by Zapier, then Text, then Split Text on a space. First segment to first name, last to surname.

A Zapier Formatter step splitting a full name
JobTread wants the name in two fields.

Or skip it. The full data guide outputs first_name and last_name already split, plus every question, answer and price. If you want the job detail in JobTread, which you probably do, do that instead of this step.

  3. Send it to JobTread

Add JobTread as the action and sign in. Map the contact fields, and put the results link and estimate detail in the notes.

    Authorise the connection.
  4. Test and turn it on

What good looks like: your own test estimate appears as a JobTread contact within a minute, correctly split, with the job detail readable.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat it means
Full name in one fieldFormatter missing or mapped wrong.
Contact with no job detailStandard trigger only sends contact details and a link. Use the full data guide.
Nothing arrivingCheck the Zap is on and that you connected the right Priceguide account.
DuplicatesAdd a search step to match existing contacts before creating.
Can I create a job rather than a contact?

Get the contact working first, then extend the Zap. Debugging one step at a time is much faster.

Do I need a paid Zapier plan?

For Formatter or the decoder script, yes.
