How to Use Conditional Logic in priceguide

Conditional Logic is now available in the Basic (Founders Tier), Pro and Web Agency plans. This powerful feature lets you show (or hide) specific questions based on how a user has answered earlier questions.

In other words: your estimator can now adapt to each person’s situation, keeping it short, relevant, and friction-free.

Step 1: Edit your estimator

From the dashboard, click Edit. You’ll land on Step 4 (Questions) by default.

Step 2: Open the question settings

Find the question you want to make conditional. Click the cog icon on the right to open the Settings popup.

Step 3: Locate “Display Conditions”

Scroll down to the Display Conditions section (see screenshot) and click Configure conditions.

    Step 4: Set your condition

First, choose a previous question from the dropdown.

    Next, pick the condition type:

      • Answer equal to… → The condition triggers only if the user selected a specific answer.

        • Example: Show a “Pool Heating Options” question only if they answered Yes to “Do you want a swimming pool?”.

      • Answer is one of… → Lets you select multiple answers that all trigger the condition.

        • Example: Show “Decking Material Choice” if they picked either Patio or Deck Extension in an earlier question.

      • IMPORTANT NOTE: Use this option when the condition is based on a multi-select question. This ensures the logic still works even if the user chooses more than one answer.
      • Answer is not… → The condition triggers when the user did not choose a specific answer.

        • Example: Show “Other Flooring Options” if they didn’t pick Tile.

Step 5: Add more conditions (optional)

Use + Add condition if you want multiple rules. (e.g., “Show this question only if property size = Large AND material = Quartz”).

    Step 6: Save your conditions

Click Save & Close, then Save & Continue on the main screen.

    Step 7: Publish your estimator

Once saved and published, your estimator will adapt in real time based on answers.

    Pro Tips

Keep it simple: The more conditions you add, the harder it is to test. Start small.

Duplicate before experimenting: If you’re planning to add lots of conditions, don’t work on the live estimator that’s already embedded on your site. Contact us, and we’ll duplicate it so you can test safely.

Think about the user journey: Conditional Logic is best used to hide questions that don’t apply. This keeps the estimator short and improves completion rates.

    Example Scenarios

Landscaping: Only show “Pool Heating Options” if the user selects Swimming Pool in a previous step.

Cabinetry: Only show “Do you want premium finishes?” if they chose Medium or Large Kitchen earlier.

HVAC: Only show “Duct Cleaning” if they chose Central Air System.
