How to Track Your PriceGuide Estimator with Facebook Pixel

Step 1: Add Your Meta Pixel to PriceGuide

  1. Go to your Meta Business Manager and create a Pixel (if you haven’t already).
  2. Copy your Pixel ID (just the number — no code needed).
  3. Log in to your priceguide account.
  4. Head to Account → Tracking.
  5. Paste your Meta Pixel ID and hit Save.

Bonus Tip: Use UTM Links in Your Facebook Ads

Want to go a step further and see which specific ad, audience, or campaign is generating leads? Add UTM parameters to your ad links!

Example UTM link:

https://yourwebsite.com/estimator?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=spring_offer

PriceGuide now captures these UTM parameters with every lead, so you can:

  • Track the exact source of your leads

  • Compare campaign performance

  • Send this data to your CRM via Zapier

It’s a simple step that unlocks powerful insights.

What Events Are Automatically Tracked?

When someone completes your estimator and clicks Submit, we automatically trigger a Meta Pixel custom event called:

Event Name: Form_Submit

This custom event can be used to track completions and set up conversions inside your Meta Ads account — it’s not the standard Lead event unless you map it that way in your ad setup.

Step 2: Track Conversions from Your Ads

If you’re running ads to your estimator, here’s how to make sure you’re tracking the right stuff.

    A) Use the Right URL in Your Ad

Every estimator has its own unique link like this:

    https://yourwebsite.com/estimator/recXXXXXX/

Use that full URL as the landing page for your ad.

    B) Set Up a Custom Conversion (Recommended)
    1. Go to Events Manager in Meta.
    2. Click Custom Conversions → Create Custom Conversion.
    3. Choose your Pixel and select the event = Form_Submit.
    4. Add a URL rule like:
    URL contains /estimate

Name it something like “Estimator Completion” and hit save.

Now Meta will track conversions only when someone reaches the thank-you page.

Step 3: Create an Ad That Optimizes for Conversions

    When building your campaign:

    1. Choose Leads or Sales as your objective.
    2. Choose Website as the conversion location.
    3. Use the estimator URL as the landing page.
    4. Choose Event = Form_Submit as your conversion goal.

This helps Meta optimize toward people who are most likely to finish your estimator.
