How to Show Monthly, Annual, and Setup Fees in Your Estimator

We’ve just released a powerful new feature in priceguide: you can now show pricing as monthly, annual, or even combine setup fees with ongoing costs. Perfect if your service includes subscriptions, memberships, or software licenses.

Here’s how to use it:

Step 1: Edit your Estimator

Head into your estimator editor and find the question or answer where you want to add recurring pricing.

Step 2: Choose Your Price Type

Click the dropdown menu (it usually defaults to Range). From here, you can pick:

  • Monthly – Adds a monthly fee to your total. If you select multiple monthly options, they’ll add together.

  • Annual – Adds an annual fee. Again, if you select multiple annuals, they’ll add together.

  • Fixed + Monthly – Adds a one-time setup fee AND a recurring monthly fee.

  • Fixed + Annual – Adds a one-time setup fee AND a recurring annual fee.

Step 3: Enter Your Amounts

Once you choose your type:

  • For Monthly and Annual, just enter the recurring amount.

  • For Fixed + Monthly or Fixed + Annual, you’ll see two boxes—one for your setup fee and one for the recurring charge.

    Step 4: Preview Your Estimator

When customers use your estimator, they’ll see the pricing broken down clearly:

    • Setup fees upfront

    • Plus ongoing monthly or annual costs

This makes your pricing transparent and easy to understand—without you ever needing to send a manual quote.

Pro Tip: Use this feature for any service with ongoing payments—like subscriptions, maintenance plans, retainers, or software. It helps customers instantly see what fits their budget and boosts trust.

New: Combine Setup, Monthly, and Annual Fees in One Answer

If your service includes both one-off and recurring fees, you can now combine them directly inside a single answer using the new Multiple Costs feature.

This lets you show full, realistic pricing—like a one-time setup cost plus a monthly or annual subscription—without having to create separate answers.

    For example:

    • Setup Fee: £500 (Fixed)

    • Monthly Cost: £50–£100 (Range)

    • Annual Renewal: £300–£500 (Range)

Each of these can be added under one answer using Multiple Costs, so your visitors see the total picture clearly on the results page.
